Mobility Standards

Battery State of Health (SOH) Business White Paper (2022)

The Battery SOH White Paper examines the state of the art for SOH tracking, outlines key uses for SOH tracking in business applications and regulatory compliance, and defines potential next steps for bringing SOH tracking applications to scale.

MOBI Battery Identification Number (BIN) Technical Specifications (2022)

The BIN Technical Specifications specifies the format, content, and physical requirements for a globally unique identity of battery packs, similar to the ISO VIN Standard.

Electric Vehicle Battery State of Health (SOH) Value Chain Map (2023)

The Electric Vehicle SOH Value Chain Map outlines various stakeholders engaged in collection, publication, uptake, and other activities related to the SOH information. It describes those activities along with interfaces by which stakeholders share data.

Vehicle/Parts Maintenance and Repair Sub-Wallet Use Case and Business Requirements (2023)

The Vehicle/Parts Maintenance and Repair Sub-Wallet Use Case and Business Requirements provides a business case, requirements, and ultimately a specification for the creation of a digital maintenance sub-wallet.

Global Battery Passport Decentralized Implementation Guidelines (2023)

The Decentralized Implementation Guidelines standard provides recommendations on how to implement a decentralized, cross-border compliant ecosystem for a Global Battery Passport — a digital credential containing key information about the battery’s composition, state of health, history, and more, as defined by the recently-passed EU Battery Regulation.
